selling items based on req is a retarded way to get more gold out of idiots that don't know better
Req is only considered on weapons, and if you're going to use the weapon, you are going to invest heavily in it to get the most damage out of it and the most damage out of the skills involved.
Example: req 9 gold chaos axe of godliness vs. req 13 chaos axe of godliness.
If you're going to use the axe, you want maximum damage, so you put in as MANY points as you can into axe mastery. That's why you bought the axe with max damage instead of a 5-24 axe with similar haft and hilt.
The only time this might matter is if you have req 12 vs req 13 and you want a ranger to wield an axe. Then again, i would still prefer a solid flatbow over an axe any day when using a ranger.
The only time req really matters is when you have a shield or offhands. THat's it.
